Privacy Policy
Effective 2 June 2026.
Raava Industries (ABN 16 466 768 693), trading as Raava ("Raava", "we", "us", "our"), handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This page explains what we collect, how we use it, where we store it, and how you can ask us to change or delete it.
How we manage personal information (APP 1)
We keep this policy current. The version above is the one in effect today; if we change it, we update the effective date and announce the change in the next newsletter edition. We do not back-date amendments.
The contact point for any privacy question is admin@raava.com.au. A real person reads that inbox, and we reply within five business days.
What we collect (APP 3, APP 5)
We collect personal information that you provide directly to us. The typical sources are:
- Audit bookings — your name, work email, business name, phone, and the vertical you operate in. We collect these so we can schedule the audit, deliver the resulting PDF, and follow up if you ask us to.
- Newsletter sign-ups — your email and the vertical you chose. We collect these so we can send the newsletter and segment the audience by interest.
- Contact form submissions — your name, email, and message. We collect these so we can reply to your enquiry.
- Audit conversations — anything you share during the audit call. We record nothing automatically; if a session would benefit from a transcript, we ask first.
- Website voice enquiries — your verified email address and anything you choose to share with the website voice assistant. The live transcript stays in your browser unless you choose to save it. We do not store audio.
We also receive anonymised page-level metrics from Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights. These are aggregate counts; they do not identify an individual visitor and do not write cookies.
When you submit personal information through this site, the form tells you what we are collecting and why before you press the button.
How we use it (APP 6)
We use personal information for the purpose you supplied it. An audit booking is used to run the audit and deliver the PDF. A newsletter sign-up is used to send the newsletter. A contact form submission is used to reply.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing, profiling, or list rental. We do not use it to train AI models, our own or anyone else's.
Where it is stored (APP 11)
Personal information is stored in:
- Supabase (Sydney region, AWS ap-southeast-2) — audit bookings, contact submissions, and the newsletter mirror table.
- Beehiiv (United States) — the operational newsletter subscriber list. Beehiiv handles unsubscribes and delivery.
- Resend (United States) — transactional email delivery (audit-PDF dispatch, contact-form replies).
- Cal.com Cloud (United States) — calendar availability and booking records for the 45-minute audit slot.
- ElevenLabs — live voice transport and assistant processing for verified website voice enquiries. Transcript saving remains off unless you choose it.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to Raava staff who need it to operate the service. We have data processing agreements with each provider above.
We do not transfer personal information outside Australia for any purpose other than the operational steps listed above. If a future need requires a different transfer, we update this policy first.
Cookies and analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. Both are cookieless: they record anonymised page metrics through a single edge request and do not write a persistent identifier to your browser.
We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or any tracker that builds a cross-session profile of an individual visitor. When we run a paid advertising campaign, we forward conversion events (someone booked an audit) to the relevant ad network via server-side conversion APIs — no client-side pixel writes a cookie on your browser.
Asking for your information (APP 12)
You can ask us at any time for a copy of the personal information we hold about you. Send the request to admin@raava.com.au with the subject line "Access request". We respond within 30 days.
If we hold a lot of information about you (for example, a multi-month engagement record), we send it as a structured ZIP archive rather than a long PDF, so you can search it.
Correcting your information (APP 13)
You can ask us at any time to correct anything inaccurate. Send the request to admin@raava.com.au with the subject line "Correction request". We act within 30 days and confirm by email once the change is in place.
You can also ask us to delete your personal information. We do so within 30 days unless we have a statutory reason to retain it (for example, a tax record that the ATO requires us to keep). If there is a retention requirement, we tell you which records and for how long.
Newsletter unsubscribe (Spam Act 2003)
Every newsletter email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. The link removes you from the Beehiiv subscriber list immediately. We retain only a hashed record that you unsubscribed, so we do not re-add you by mistake on a future import.
The audit-PDF email is transactional and does not carry marketing content; it does not include an unsubscribe link, because there is no list to be on. If you would prefer not to receive the audit PDF after booking, email us and we will cancel the booking instead.
Children
The site and the audit service are aimed at owners and operators of Australian small businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has supplied personal information through this site, email us and we will delete it.
Complaints (OAIC complaint mechanism)
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information and we have not resolved your concern, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
- Web:
oaic.gov.au - Phone: 1300 363 992
- Mail: GPO Box 5288, Sydney NSW 2001
We ask that you contact us first at admin@raava.com.au so we can try to resolve the matter directly. If that does not work, the OAIC complaint pathway is open to you regardless.
